Dr. Gleb Furman
Senior Quantitative Research Scientist
Dr. Gleb Furman is a Senior Research Scientist at Gibson, specializing in advanced quantitative methods for program evaluation and causal inference in K–12 and postsecondary education. Dr. Furman’s expertise includes designing rigorous analytics pipelines, leading mixed-method evaluations, and translating complex findings into actionable insights for education leaders.
Dr. Furman has led or contributed to over 15 major evaluation projects across 10 states, including the Region 9 Education Service Center (TX) High Reliability Schools evaluation, Intervention and Acceleration program evaluations for Orange County Public Schools (FL), a Special Education and Dyslexia Audit for Round Rock Independent School District (TX), and the award-winning Killeen Independent School District (TX) Teacher Time Study which was recognized with the American Education Research Association (Division H) Outstanding Publications Award in Applied Research. His analyses have supported more than 50 districts and reached over 500,000 students.
Dr. Furman holds a PhD in Educational Psychology (Quantitative Methods) from The University of Texas at Austin and is a certified Institute of Education Sciences What Works Clearinghouse reviewer. His research has been published in journals such as the Journal of Educational Psychology.
